Our history
Over a century of premium accommodation
The point is: spas and luxury, spas and comfort, health and wealth, have always
gone hand in hand, even without bothering to mention ancient Rome. So, no surprise
if in 1870, ten years before the first boom of the Ritz-style tourism in Europe,
in the very same days of the umpteenth clash between Prussia and France, when
Florence was the capital city of Italy and the “bersaglieri” still looked at
Porta Pia fron outside, a hotel was founded in Montecatini that promised “Peace”
and offered halls and armchairs, gardens and silence, worthwhile the luxury that
had characterized the Terme della Petriolo in the thirteenth century.
More than 100 years of top hospitality
